A workshop on the recent advances of the yielding transition in amorphous solids took place in Paris on October 26-28, 2017, with the support of the Simons collaboration on Cracking the glass problem. The review talks of the six speakers spanned complementary features and pending issues of the yielding transition, studied from different theoretical perspectives.
